Growing up, I navigated between two distinct worlds: the rich traditions of my Pakistani-Muslim household and the broader American culture outside our modest apartment. Frequent visits to Pakistan illuminated the world’s interconnectedness and deepened my appreciation for the opportunities available in the United States. As a queer person of color I understand firsthand the transformative power of representation and the importance of seeing oneself reflected in society.

From an early age, I found myself driven by a profound desire to positively impact the lives of others, keenly recognizing that my personal journey has been significantly shaped by those who believed in my potential. This unwavering commitment to making a difference has manifested in a variety of meaningful facets throughout my life: I have dedicated over a decade to volunteering as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County, while professionally contributing across a number of esteemed organizations. During my nine years at The Walt Disney Company, I built a career from the ground up, progressing from selling tickets at Disneyland to marketing some of the biggest movies and streaming services in the world; at ARRAY, Ava DuVernay’s influential film collective, I took the lead in forming partnerships and driving community outreach initiatives; at FREE THE WORK, I successfully raised just under two million dollars in my role as Development and Donor Relations Lead; and currently, I serve as a Senior Manager at Target, where I oversee Creative Production and co-lead impactful initiatives to increase inclusivity within production.

In my leisure time, you’ll often find me exploring new culinary experiences, wandering through museums, traveling to new destinations, enjoying Bollywood films, delving into insightful self-help books, or volunteering within my community.

Thank you for visiting and sharing in my journey.
